Teignmouth Golf Club is a private members' club, originally founded in 1924. We have various, flexible membership categories for men, ladies and juniors.
The process to apply for membership is easy. You simply fill in an application form (click on the Apply for Membership button to download), return to us and this is normally processed in a few days.
Set out below is a brief summary of membership categories, followed by current subscription rates. Please contact us if you have any questions.
There are no restrictions on the use of any of the Club's facilities. There are discounted rates available for members aged 24 to 29 and 30 to 35.
5 Day members may not play the course at weekends. They may not enter main Club knock-out competitions or other weekend events but they can enter competitions and mixed events on Bank Holidays.
There are no restrictions on the use of the Club's facilities but the member's permanent residence must be at least 50 miles from Teignmouth Golf Club. If the member has a temporary or holiday home within 50 miles he or she may qualify as a Country member if he or she occcupies that home for no more than two months a year.
Associate members can play the course on any day on payment of a reduced green fee of £15 (£12 November to March) and are eligible to play in Club competitions other than main trophy events.
Junior And Intermediate
There are no restrictions on the use of the Club's facilites. Players are eligible to enter Club competitions, subject to handicap restrictions. Reduced subscription rates are determined by age on the first day of the subscription period.
Full membership rights apply for a reduced fee if the applicant is in full time education.
Not eligible to play the course or use the practice facilities but can enjoy the full range of services offered by the Clubhouse.
Social membership available to the spouse or partner of a Full or 5 Day Member at a reduced rate.
All members are issued with a swipe card which allows food and drinks to be purchased in the Clubhouse at a 20% discount.
Affordable memberships are available for those on low income. The annual fee for this, including insurance and England Golf and Devon Golf union fees, is £475. Full details, including how to apply, are available on request.
This charge covers member subscriptions to Devon Golf (or Devon County Ladies Golf Union) and England Golf.
Each playing member is covered by a Club insurance policy to cover public liability and accidents. There is no additional charge for this but please note that this policy does not cover personal loss of equipment or theft. Full details of the cover provided is available on request from the Club's office.
New Full and 5 Day Members are charged a joining fee which can be paid in two equal instalments.
Subscriptions can be paid monthly by direct debit. There is a small administration charge for this service and full details are available on request.
